In accordance with the quality management system and the implementation of the environmental system, Witte y Solà established a set of objectives for 2017, including better waste management.
Aware of the importance of recycling and proper waste management at both the environmental and regulatory levels, Witte y Solà strives both to improve the control and monitoring of certain types of waste like enamels, varnishes and oils and to properly segregate those that were not segregated before, like aerosols and waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE).
Until 2016, the company segregated 13 different types of waste, both hazardous and non-hazardous. It currently separates over 20 types of waste, with specific containers and locations prepared for each.
It has also conducted an intense awareness-raising campaign with all employees to minimize all the waste produced by purchasing less polluting raw materials (like Blue Angel certified paper, for example) and by using resources more responsibly.
