Those who work with me know very well. I can’t work in silence.
Once I reach my office in the morning, my bluetooth speaker continues to play the music I was listening in the car. My customized radio formula in the form of Spotify lists (what a great invention) plays all day long. At all times.
The passion for music comes from the same place as the passion for the company: from my father. He has taught me to love and enjoy all kinds of music. I still remember when in the car, talking, he said “shut up, listen to this song …!” and began his particular repertoire of hits of the moment that I should not miss.
That same thing, that gave me so much anger (“Quiet, listen!”), I would ask my sisters and friends later … “Listen to this!”
One of my earliest memories related to music was when my father told me, riding in the car, that one of the best songs in history was Music by John Miles … which, by the way, starts by saying “Music was my first love”.
Then came the solo concerts: I put on the helmets of the living room and listened to entire CD’s… At that time Carmel, Enya, Mecano … and of course, the iconic Queen’s green Greatest Hits … whose CD came to us without printing: a collector’s rarity that my father never wanted to sell.
Over the years I have learned to enjoy all kinds of music… It keeps me company, it relaxes me, it focuses me, it encourages me, it entertains me, it moves me… I love it. And I love sharing that passion.
In our new office’s, the list “Sounds of Witte and Solà” sounds incessant. A list for those of us who like music. For the passionate. For those of us who need a soundtrack in every scene of our lives.
Bono said: “Music can change the world … Because music can change people.” Let’s play it, then.
