AMFER Achieves UNE EN 15343 Certification with Zero Non-Conformities
AMFER lastic Transformation, part of the Witte y Solà Group and specialized in the manufacture of plastic caps and accessories for the pharmaceutical and cosmetics industries, has successfully achieved UNE EN 15343 certificationfollowing an audit conducted by the certification body KIWA, with zero non-conformities.
This important milestone reinforces our commitment to sustainability, the circular economy and transparency in the use of recycled materials, providing our customers with full confidence in the traceability and recycled plastic content of our products.
Certified traceability and verified recycled content
The UNE EN 15343 standard specifies the requirements for the traceability of recycled plastics and for the verification and calculation of recycled plastic content in finished products. Certification provides independent assurance that the declared recycled content is supported by a robust, transparent and audited management system.
Following the successful audit, AMFER is now certified for the following product categories:
- PE caps containing a minimum of 95% post-consumer recycled (PCR) plastic (Category AXXXByR2).
- PE caps manufactured from 100% post-consumer recycled (PCR) natural resin without colourants (Category AXXXBTR2).
- PP caps containing a minimum of 97% post-industrial recycled (PIR) plastic (Category AXXXPyR1).
- PP caps manufactured from 100% post-industrial recycled (PIR) natural resin without colourants (Category AXXXPTR1).
Greater sustainability, greater value for our customers
Using certified recycled materials reduces the consumption of virgin raw materials and supports a more circular and resource-efficient manufacturing model.
In addition to the environmental benefits, these certified solutions help our customers reduce the financial impact of plastic packaging taxation by providing independently verified evidence of the recycled plastic content incorporated into their products.
Moving towards more responsible packaging
This certification represents another step forward in the Witte y Solà Group’s sustainability strategy, strengthening our ability to deliver innovative and responsible packaging solutions for the pharmaceutical and cosmetics markets.
We will continue investing in new materials, technologies and manufacturing processes that reduce the environmental footprint of our products while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety and service.
Because the future of packaging is built on innovation, traceability and a genuine commitment to sustainability.
